“Involving children is making them complicit in the Flotilla's provocations.”

“I consider it extremely serious to involve children and make them complicit in the provocations carried out by the Global Sumud Flotilla, which in its actions did anything but act as a spokesperson for humanitarian and peace-seeking purposes (otherwise it would have accepted the request made by President Mattarella and the Patriarchate of Jerusalem to deliver humanitarian goods to the Palestinian population through official and secure channels.”
This is the comment of the regional councilor for education Alessia Rosolen at the demonstration that took place in Piazza 1° Maggio in Udine and which also involved some children.
"It's a limit that has never been crossed before. An irresponsible act, a worrying attempt to indoctrinate naive and innocent minds with the not-so-subtle goal of inciting anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment."
“An action that reminds us of the worst attempts at child indoctrination carried out by the worst regimes of the past and which mirrors the exploitation and manipulation of young Palestinians educated by Hamas to hate Jews.”
"Education is the practice of freedom, knowledge, and critical awareness. The imposition of a single way of thinking cannot and must not prevail. Outrage over the children killed in Gaza cannot justify," Rosolen concludes, "the presence of children at anti-Semitic demonstrations, whose toxic narrative disguises hatred as freedom of expression. Peace is a value, not a flag. The future we tell children cannot be one that glorifies the now ridiculous exploits of the paper boat flotilla."
